This is unit 3 of 8 units. The sequence of units is available in the Read Me First Materials in each unit.
- Section A: Exploring Shapes in Our Environment
In this section, students will work to name, describe, and compare shapes in their environment. Students will start by finding objects that look like flat shapes in books and around us. Students will describe the shapes they find. Students will see how shapes are the same and different. - Section B: Exploring Shapes in Our Environment (continued)
In this section, students use shapes to solve puzzles. Students will practice putting together different shapes to make new, larger shapes. Students will practice describing the shapes and how the shapes are alike and different.
