ILC ELA 3: Module 4 Additional Language and Literacy (ALL) Block

This module supports the concepts taught in ILC ELA 3: Module 4 Water Around the World. In this Module, students will explore the following concepts: Unit 1, students will read and listen to One Well: The Story of Water on Earth. Building their background knowledge about water issues around the world while they work on reading fluency and research skills. Unit 2, students will read critically the required texts comparing and contrasting the authors’ points of view on water issues around the world continuing their research on the topic. At the end of this unit, students will write an opinion essay about the importance of water conservation. Unit 3, students will create a Public Service Announcement to educate people on a water issue of their choice. Students will complete a personal reflection on why the issue is important to them and how they created their Public Service Announcement. Note: The ALL Bock module is an integral part of the program to ensure all standards are addressed; therefore, it should be downloaded with the corresponding content module.
