ILC ELA 10 - 2nd Semester
The ILC ELA 10 - 2nd Semester materials are designed as a year-long course. Semester 1 and Semester 2 will be available separately for download. The following offers a summary of the year-long course: The curriculum modules offer a variety of rich texts that engage students in analysis of literary and journalistic nonfiction as well as poetry, drama, and fiction. Classic and contemporary authors represented in the modules include Christopher Marlowe, Amy Tan, Martin Luther King, Jr., Alice Walker, Malala Yousafzai, E.B. White, William Shakespeare, and Niccolò Machiavelli. Working with these texts, students build knowledge, analyze ideas, delineate arguments and develop writing, collaboration, and communication skills. The modules clearly identify standards that are addressed and assessed. The 9-12 ELA Prefatory Material and Teacher Instructional Guide includes further details.
ILC ELA 10 - 1st Semester should be completed before ILC ELA 10 - 2nd Semester, as it is a year-long course.
