Course Description
This is unit 2 of 4 units. The sequence of units is available in the Read Me First Materials in each unit. Students will investigate the impact of sharecropping, segregation, and a lack of voting rights, and why these unfair policies were in place for so many years. Students will also learn about the trailblazing Iowans who stood up for their civil rights as well as how Iowa law changed in comparison to federal law.
