Course Description
This is unit 4 of 8 units. The sequence of units is available in the Read Me First Materials in each unit.
- Section A: What is Division?
In this section, students will think about division in terms of equal-size groups. - Section B: Relating Multiplication and Division
In this section, students will make connections between the result of division and the missing factor in a multiplication equation. - Section C: Multiplying Larger Numbers
In this section, students will use different strategies to multiply larger numbers. Students will see that it is helpful to break apart two-digit numbers by place value, into tens and ones. Section D: Dividing Larger Numbers In this section, students will divide larger numbers. Students will continue to use the relationship between multiplication and division and their understanding of place value to find quotients.
